Announcements with video: explainer videos right in the pop-up

Some things are easier to explain in a short video than in three paragraphs of text. So an announcement can now show a video instead of an image.

You create the announcement as before in the event settings under “Announcements” and pick your video under “Image or video”. iveo checks it, compresses it in your browser and uploads it, and you can see which step it’s in. Add captions per language as a .vtt file, or confirm that they are burned into the video, plus a short description of what the video shows.

The selected roles see the announcement as a pop-up from its start. The video plays with sound, controls and captions, but only once someone presses play. “Got it” is clickable at any time, and the read list shows you who has already confirmed the announcement.
