What iveo Data Sync does
Automatic synchronisation
Poll intervals from 10 seconds up to 15 minutes. Newly uploaded or changed files are detected and downloaded straight away, without a manual sync.
Gallery with live thumbnails
Real preview images for every file type: videos (middle frame via OpenCV), PDFs (first page via PyMuPDF), PowerPoint (first slide), images direct.
Instant view on start-up
When the app starts, it rebuilds the gallery straight from the local cache, so there's no loading screen and no waiting for the server.
Offline-proof access
Once synchronised, files open offline with a single click. If the internet drops, the app retries every 15 seconds, without an error cascade and without data loss.
Intelligent sync plan
The app detects what's already on the local machine and transfers only new or changed files. That saves bandwidth.
Secure authentication
Access via personal licence key, stored encrypted in the system keychain (macOS Keychain / Windows Credential Locker). No permanent credentials are stored on the device.
Server-side malware scanning before sync
Every uploaded file is scanned server-side for viruses, trojans, ransomware and other malware before it enters the sync pool. Infected files are blocked automatically, so only clean content reaches the production machine.

How do I get a licence key?
Ask the Event Owner of your iveo event. They can create a licence key for you directly in the iveo platform. Enter the key in the app, choose your sync folder and you're ready to go.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Files you've already synced are always available offline with a single click. If the internet drops, the app switches to offline mode and automatically retries every 15 seconds, with no data loss.
Which file formats are supported?
All common event production formats: videos (MP4, MOV, AVI), images (JPG, PNG, HEIC), PDFs, PowerPoint (PPTX, PPT) and Keynote. Data Sync generates a real thumbnail for every file type.
How fast are new files synchronised?
You can set the sync interval anywhere from 10 seconds to 15 minutes, or sync manually. Default is 1 minute. For critical productions, 10 seconds ensures last-minute uploads are available immediately.
Is data transmitted securely?
Yes. All communication runs over HTTPS and is protected by short-lived authentication tokens. No permanent credentials are stored on the client machine.
Does the app work on macOS and Windows?
Yes. Data Sync runs on macOS 12+ (Intel & Apple Silicon) and Windows 10+ (x64). As part of the iveo Tools Suite, it ships in a single installer alongside Speaker Detection.
