My settings
Set up the profile, appearance, language, password, notifications, API access and privacy for your own account.
Besides an event’s settings, everyone has settings that only apply to their own account. They don’t affect anyone else on the team.
Opening your settings
Open the user menu from your profile picture and choose “My settings”. The settings open as a window on top of the page you’re on. Switch between the tabs at the top.
Profile
Here you find first name, last name, company and job title. Upload your profile photo with “Upload profile photo” or take one with your camera using “Take photo”; PNG, JPG and WebP up to 5 MB are allowed. Your email address is shown here, but you can’t change it in this place.
Appearance
- Theme: “Light”, “System” or “Dark”.
- Background: “Default” with a gradient, “Light” or “Grey”.
- Layout width: “Compact” centres the content, “Full width” uses the whole screen.
- Toolbar density: “Comfortable” or “Compact” for the search, sort and filter bars above lists.
- Text size: “Small”, “Default” or “Large”.
- Motion: “System” follows your operating system, “Reduced” turns animations off.
- Language: the display language of the whole app.
These settings apply to the browser you make them in.
Security
If you’ve been signing in with the link from the email, you can set a password here and then also sign in with email and password. A password has at least 12 characters with upper- and lower-case letters, a digit and a special character. If you already have one, you change it using your current password.
Notifications
Here you decide what shows up in your bell:
- “Invitations & membership”
- “Mentions & messages”
- “Submissions”
- “Content updates”
- “Event activity”
- “Emails about messages”: an email when someone sends a message to many people, you among them
All switches start out on.
API access
With a token, external tools can read your events’ data. Access isn’t enabled for every account; if it isn’t for yours, you see a note here, and an iveo admin can enable it on request. You only see a new token once, so copy it straight away. “Revoke” makes it invalid.
Privacy
If you’re scheduled as a speaker in an event, you see your consent to AI analysis of your contributions for each event here and can change it. More on the page AI & transcription: consent and data protection.
Under “My data”, “Export my data” downloads a copy of all personal data iveo stores about you.
What’s new
In the user menu, “What’s new” leads to the most important changes from each release, explained simply.
