Your speaker profile

What you maintain as a speaker under "My profile", what of it appears on the event website and when.

Your speaker profile shows who you are: on the event website and to the event team. You maintain it yourself under My profile in the sidebar. The event team sees your changes right away.

What you can fill in

In the “Details” section:

  • Photo
  • Title (such as “Dr.”), First name and Last name
  • Job title, for example your role in your organisation
  • Bio
  • Languages
  • Social media: links to your channels

Below that you maintain your Organisations, that is, who you appear for.

Contact for briefings

Under “Contact for briefings” you enter a Mobile number; one you use on Signal works too. With the switch “Show in the briefing to the organisers of my programmes” you decide yourself whether the organisers of the programmes you moderate see the number in the briefing. Without that switch it stays with you. They always see your account email.

AI analysis

If one of your programmes can be analysed with AI, “My profile” has an “AI analysis” section. It shows “Your choice”: “Allowed”, “Declined” or “Not decided yet”, and you change it with “Allow AI” or “Decline AI”. More under AI & transcription.

What appears on the event website

In the “Public profile” section you decide whether your photo and your bio should appear on the event website: “Show photo on the event website” and “Show bio on the event website”. Hiding takes effect right away; showing again only with the next publish.

What appears on the website at all is published by the event team. Saving your profile does not put it online automatically. The team takes it live when it publishes your programme or your profile.

The preview on “My appearance”

On My appearance, your profile is the first task. Once the event website is online, you see a preview of your profile there in the website’s look, with exactly what would become public. The “Preview” label means: this is how it would look. “Live” means: your profile is already published on the website. If a photo or bio is missing, the empty spot shows “+ Photo” or “+ Bio”; one click takes you straight to that field in “My profile”. While the website is not online yet, the task only shows these buttons for whatever is still missing.

Your profile in future events

Your profile belongs to this one event. If the event is part of a series, the event team can carry your profile over to a later edition, with photo, details and organisations. You cannot transfer it yourself; ask the event team.
