Prepare YouTube livestreams ahead of time
Until now, a YouTube livestream was only created the moment you published the programme item. When a big programme goes online on a set date, that gets tight. Now you set up the livestreams beforehand.
Under Settings → YouTube, “Prepare YouTube” creates the livestreams of all programme items with the livestream switched on and a start in the future, including ones not yet published. They stay private on YouTube until you publish the programme item. If you take it off the website again, its livestream goes back to private. “Turn on for all existing programmes” switches the livestream on everywhere first.
Title and description only contain what the event website shows, or would show once published, so of the people only confirmed ones. Up to five hashtags per event come on top. YouTube uses the programme item’s thumbnail as the preview image.
