Roles in iveo

Operator

On show day, you make sure the right thing runs on every stage.

Typically held by
  • Stage technology
  • Stage management
  • Control desk

As Operator you sit at the control desk. You take programme items live, keep an eye on the time and start the livestream when needed.

You read programme details and running order along, but you cannot change them. That is deliberate, so that nobody rebuilds a programme by accident during the show.

In practice

A typical workflow

  1. Choose a stage

You switch to Produce, choose the stage and see the next programme item in the preview.

  2. Go live

You take the programme item from the preview live. The screens at the venue follow without a reload.

  3. Keep an eye on time

The header shows the remaining time of the running programme item. If it runs over, it says Overrun.

  4. Control the livestream

You check the signal and take each language live separately.
